“Disappear” is an emotional journey birthed from darkness, self-doubt, and an aching desire to break free. This hauntingly raw and personal piece, penned and performed by the soulful Indrani Das (Indy), was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of EKODA Productions and a passionate team of creatives over a two-day shoot in Guwahati, Assam.

The first day of the shoot unfolded in two carefully chosen indoor locations, an elegant Airbnb nestled in Zoo Tinali and the warm, homely residence of Indrani Das in Panbazar.

The morning was dedicated to capturing the ethereal presence of the band members. By noon, the indoor shots were wrapped up, marking an efficient and inspired start. The crew then transitioned to Indrani's residence, where the ambiance lent itself perfectly to the emotional depth of the song.

The indoor segments were not just about visuals, they were filled with shared laughter, quiet intensity, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked Assamese food. Lunch and dinner at Indrani’s home added a personal touch to the shoot day, deepening the bond between the crew and cast.

As dusk approached, the team hit the bustling streets of Guwahati. High-exposure shots captured the chaos and clarity of a city alive at night, symbolizing the internal chaos mirrored in the song. Scenes were also filmed aboard a city bus, creatively capturing moments of introspection amidst urban motion.

Day 2

The second day unfolded under the open sky by the banks of the Brahmaputra near Chandrapur. The raw, natural setting reflected the emotional wilderness Indy sings of in “Disappear.” Here, the team experimented with improvised shots, led by the instinctive vision of Director Priyanka Sohoria and DOP Maaruf Bin Rafique. The river, the wind, and the silence came together to shape a poetic conclusion to the video’s visual narrative.

The project was written, composed, and sung by Indrani Das (Indy), with music produced and arranged by Amitabh Barooa, mixed and mastered by Siddharth Barooa, and recorded at Lucid Recess Studio in Guwahati; it was directed by Priyanka Sohoria, with Maaruf Bin Rafique as the DOP, editor, and colorist, assisted by Chintu Nick, who also contributed to BTS coverage, makeup by Dipa Rajbongshi, and production management and BTS handled by Pranjoy Arup Das.

Technical support and rentals for the production were provided by Dreaming Artist Studio, BB Rentals, and Sargam Creations, while OK Northeast handled the digital media promotion to amplify the project's reach.

Ultimately, "Disappear" is more than a song—it is an experiential, visual poem that marks a significant moment in Northeast India's evolving music scene through its powerful performances and honest storytelling. As Indy pours her heart into the lyrics, the visuals capture a journey of descent and resurrection, serving as a poignant reminder that creation can be a lifeline even in the darkest times.
