ABOUT THIS ARTICLE

On April 26th, the Agora community came together to celebrate seven years of Agora and our Annual Children's Play. It was a wonderful night that showed how much our community has grown into a warm, lively family.

This year, Theatre@Agora presented a beautiful play about nostalgia called "Roots Routes". The play was written by Nandini Handique. It took the audience back to the 1980s, starting with a grandmother telling her grandchildren stories about her cousins. Radhika Goswami produced the play and designed the stage sets, while Nandini Handique directed the show. Nikumoni Sarmah helped as the assistant director, Garima Sharma took care of makeup and styling, and Pratik Adhikari did the sound design. Chintu Nick captured all the special moments by taking behind-the-scenes photos.

This project was a true team effort. The parents kindly provided all the costumes and the delicious food. The audience was mostly made up of these proud parents, and they had an absolute blast. After the play, the Agora Team also screened a special short film for a live audience for the very first time.

The night ended perfectly with students, parents, and team members cutting the anniversary cakes together. Thank you to the parents, the creative team, and the students who inspire us every day. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and many more to come.
