ABOUT THIS ARTICLE
We’re thrilled to announce that our children’s short film Tree-ble in Paradise, created by AGORA The Space, is now available for screening and has already been reserved for submissions to film festivals. This project has been an extraordinary journey of creativity, collaboration, and conscious storytelling — and we’re excited to take you behind the scenes!
At the heart of Tree-ble in Paradise lies a message of sustainability and imagination. We built 90% of our sets and props entirely out of recycled materials, transforming what most might discard into vibrant pieces of our cinematic world. Every cardboard cutout, painted prop, and fabric scrap found a new purpose, reminding us — and hopefully our audience — that creativity can truly thrive when we tread lightly on our planet.
Produced by Radhika Goswami and directed and edited by Nandini Handique, the film features a talented young cast who brought their characters to life with boundless energy and heart. From Vanya Goenka and Poshika Sahal to Amalia Agarwal, Ditvi Bajaj, Atharv Deorah, and so many more — each child made this story their own, turning a simple script into a magical onscreen experience.

Behind the camera, our production team poured passion into every detail. Lawanu Gogoi’s cinematography captured the whimsy and wonder of our recycled sets beautifully, while Chintu Nick supported the creative vision as assistant director. The soulful music, crafted by Shristi Bhagawati and Jim Ankan Deka, brought emotional depth, enriched further by vocals from Shristi herself, Gaurav Singha, Nandini Handique, and several of our young actors.
Arundhati Baruah led production design, creating an enchanting visual world with the help of art assistants Krishna Kumar Boro and Bhaman Bhusan Rajkhowa. The atmosphere came alive thanks to sound design and foley by Luma Key Productions, while Orange Studio, Guwahati, handled dubbing seamlessly.
From makeup by Shristi Bhagawati & Burgundy Salon to the lighting magic woven by our gaffer Ayush Barua, every team member — including grips Bhaskar Patangia and Himon Das and our hardworking production team — played an essential role.
For those curious about how this little film blossomed from recycled scraps into a living, breathing story, we’ve also released a behind-the-scenes video on AGORA The Space’s YouTube channel. It’s a glimpse into the laughter, learning, and late-night painting sessions that shaped Tree-ble in Paradise.
We created this film to spark young imaginations, celebrate teamwork, and gently remind audiences that creativity and sustainability can — and should — go hand in hand. We can’t wait to share it with more viewers around the world, and we hope it inspires others to see beauty in the things we too often throw away.
Stay tuned for updates on festival screenings — and thank you for being part of this journey with us!
